Richardson and Jorgie Porter spoke with RadioTimes.com on the red carpet for the BAFTA TV Awards 2024. <\/p>
The inaugural RadioTimes.com Soap Awards<\/a> are due to take place this summer, as we celebrate the best in soaps over the past year.<\/p>\n Channel 4\u2019s Hollyoaks<\/a> is nominated in multiple categories, including for Soap Moment of the Year<\/a>, with the scene when Ste (Kieron Richardson) realises he\u2019s killed Ella (Erin Palmer) being recognised.<\/p>\n Now, Richardson has responded to the nomination, expressing how excited he is to see his and the team\u2019s work being acknowledged.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively with RadioTimes.com<\/a> on the red carpet for the BAFTA TV Awards 2024, alongside his co-star Jorgie Porter, Richardson said: \u201cWe love anything awards, obviously, hence why we\u2019re here today, so the fact that the Soap Awards was cancelled this year<\/a>, we were, \u2018Aw, we\u2019ve got nothing to get excited for!\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cSo then, when we got tagged in the post the other day about this new awards that\u2019s coming up in the Midland Hotel in Manchester, July 13th, it\u2019s gone like wildfire around the building and everyone\u2019s quite excited.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s amazing to see all the hard work that we\u2019ve done in the last 12 months being recognised.\u201d<\/p>\n The storyline which is nominated for Soap Moment of the Year revolved around a road accident between four different vehicles, after which Ste Hay realised he was responsible for Ella\u2019s death after spotting one of her red boots stuck in one of the wheel arches of his car.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/b><\/p>\n It was a shocking and heart-rending storyline, which Porter also reflected on her reaction to when speaking with RadioTimes.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI just think it had so many moments in that one episode,\u201d she explained, \u201cthat it was just one thing after another that was just incredible and exciting.<\/p>\n \u201cI cried, I screamed \u2013 all the emotions in one go.\u201d<\/p> Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4 and
