The series, which comes from writer Steven Knight<\/a>, stars Moss and Yumna Marwan as two women playing \u2013 per the official synopsis \u2013 \u201ca deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London\u201d, with one said to have a secret, while the other has an objective to reveal it \u201cbefore thousands of lives are lost\u201d.<\/p>\n Moss spoke recently about why she wanted to take on the role, explaining that she \u2018loves\u2019 the spy genre, and felt The Veil was bringing something new to the table.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cI love all the spy franchises, but I don\u2019t know if we\u2019ve seen this kind of story on television before. At least, not in a while. For that reason, I am excited for people to get hooked by how fun, entertaining and global this story is.\u201d<\/p>\n Moss continued: \u201cThe Veil is an action-packed and international drama. I think that\u2019s the hook.
