Irish rock band The Script are heading on a UK tour this year, and with the first pre-sale going live today, here’s everything you need to know to secure tickets. <\/p>

Irish rock band The Script has announced a UK and Ireland tour in support of their seventh album, Satellites, which will be released 16th August this year.<\/p>\n

The brand new album will pay tribute to guitarist Mark Sheehan, as singer Danny O\u2019Donoghue said: \u201cThe album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who\u2019s been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe always will be, but it\u2019s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It\u2019ll never be the same Script. We\u2019re just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that\u2019s to keep making more great music\u201d.<\/p>\n

The upcoming tour and album promise to continue the band O\u2019Donoghue and Sheehan built together.<\/p>\n

It was The Script\u2019s 2008 self-titled album that shot the band to fame; their 2008 album reached the number one spot in the UK and Ireland, and secured the band three top 10 hits in their native country, too.<\/p>\n

The Script\u2019s second album, Science & Faith (which this Digital Writer<\/a> actually received a CD of for their birthday as a teenager), also reached number on in the UK and Ireland, and gave the rock band their first UK number one with the single For The First Time.<\/p>\n

Sold-out, global tours have since followed, as well as four more hit albums. Now, with the announcement that The Script\u2019s seventh album Satellites will bless our ears this summer, we\u2019re anticipating a remarkable UK and Ireland tour, too.<\/p>\n
