Roy is about to face danger! <\/p>

Coronation Street has set up its explosive week<\/a> in the latest edition of the ITV soap<\/a> (24th May 2024), as evil villain Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) was shown with a weapon in his prison cell!<\/p>\n

Griff was recently transferred to Weatherfield jail to serve the rest of his sentence for his extremist crimes<\/a>, just as vulnerable Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is on remand for the murder of missing teen Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).<\/p>\n

Roy\u2019s worried niece Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) confided in Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) that Roy was isolating himself, and Stu got in touch with another prisoner he knew, Roscoe (Warren Donnelly), who befriended Roy.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) asked Roy to start a book club with her, which gave him a boost.<\/p>\n

Evelyn was pleased when they discussed a book over the phone and Roy let out a chuckle \u2013 but when it came to Roy\u2019s case, solicitor Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) was worried by a delay with the linguistics expert that could clear Roy\u2019s name by proving that Roy\u2019s texts didn\u2019t match those on Lauren\u2019s phone.<\/p>

Joel Deering (Calum Lill) encouraged Dee-Dee not to give up, and she resolved to make the expert see that this situation simply couldn\u2019t wait.<\/p>\n

Later, Dee-Dee updated Roy with the news that the messages would now be made a priority, and he was finally given some hope.<\/p>\n

But at the prison, Griff lurked around every corner, and as Roy enjoyed reading his book, Griff was seen handling a blade, poised to take alarming action next week.<\/p>\n

In a special week of episodes beginning on Monday 27th May, we\u2019ll see Roy held hostage and his life threatened by Griff, who orders Roy to confess to killing Lauren. But with Roy maintaining his innocence, who is guilty?<\/p>\n

Well, we\u2019ll find out all the answers soon, as the killer \u2013 if Lauren really is<\/em> dead<\/a> \u2013 is finally revealed!<\/p>\n
