The gripping spy thriller, penned by Peaky Blinders<\/a> creator Steven Knight<\/a>, stars Moss and Yumna Marwan as two women who find themselves involved in \u201ca deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London\u201d, with one holding onto a secret, while the other has an objective to reveal it \u201cbefore thousands of lives are lost\u201d.<\/p>\n The series, which is now available to watch on Disney Plus, has been likened to the 1991 Ridley Scott film \u2013 with Vanity Fair<\/a> calling the series \u201cPart Espionage Thriller, Part Thelma & Louise\u201d.<\/p>\n In a new Q&A, Moss has admitted she and the team \u201clove the comparison\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are not mad about it,\u201d she said. \u201cWe really like it. We do. I mean, The Veil is this incredible spy thriller in the classic sense of the genre \u2013 but at the same time, you have these two women who should not be in the same car together, and yet they are.<\/p>\n \u201cThe way in which Steven wrote it, it doesn\u2019t feel like they will become best friends by the end. It becomes a buddy movie, but it\u2019s complicated and it retains its complexity in a very truthful way. But, yes, we love the comparison.\u201d<\/p> Moss and Marwan are joined by a wealth of actors, including Dali Benssalah and Josh Charles, in the high-octane thriller, which will undoubtedly leave viewers at the edge of their seats each episode.<\/p>\n Executive producer Denise Di Novi echoed a similar sentiment, noting that she understands where the comparison comes from.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cThelma & Louise is one of the greatest films ever made. I think it\u2019s because it\u2019s so rare to have two female characters have those kind of conversations.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that\u2019s where the comparison comes from, and I think it\u2019s great because we\u2019re not only that, we\u2019re all this other stuff as well.
