The star says she would “love to revisit” Harriet Manners for a second run. <\/p>
Geek Girl star Emily Carey has revealed that she\u2019d love to return for a second run of the Netflix teen drama \u2013 noting that the \u201cstory is not necessarily over at the end of season 1\u201d.<\/p>\n
The 10-part series debuted on the streamer on Thursday 10th May, with House of the Dragon<\/a> star Carey taking on the lead role of Harriet Manners \u2013 an awkward but fiercely intelligent teenager who unexpectedly becomes a fashion model.<\/p>\n The series is based on Holly Smale\u2019s hugely popular YA novel series<\/a> of the same name, which means there\u2019s plenty more source material to return to if a follow-up outing does end up getting greenlit, as Carey explained to RadioTimes.com<\/a> during a chat for The Big RT Interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWith the source material, there are quite a number of books,\u201d she said. \u201cSeason 1 is book 1. And then we pulled stories in from 2 and 3, to adapt it for screen. So there\u2019s a lot of source material and so it\u2019s definitely a show that could go on and on and on.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cThe story is not necessarily over at the end of season 1. So I\u2019d love for people to want to know what happens to Harriet next.\u201d<\/p> \u200cCarey added that she\u2019d \u201clove to revisit\u201d the character who she described as \u201cso much fun\u201d, while she also praised the atmosphere on set between her co-stars<\/a> \u2013 who include Rochelle Harrington, Emmanuel Imani, Hebe Beardsall, Sarah Parish and Liam Woodrum.<\/p>\n \u201cThis cast is one of the best casts I\u2019ve ever worked with,\u201d she explained. \u201cI know it\u2019s so cliche and every actor says this about their show, but it is like a family. We all get along so well. And I adore them. We had the best summer. And so the thought of being able to do that again is very exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n
