Trust us though, it\u2019s well worth sticking around for. In fact, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:\">Let There Be Carnage<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:\">\u2019s final farewell is one of the most important to grace the MCU, and neatly sets up the future of several major players.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Look away now if you live outside the US and haven\u2019t had a chance to watch Venom 2 yet\u2026<\/p>\n<p><b>Warning: major Venom: Let There Be Carnage spoilers ahead.<\/b><\/p> <h1><b>What happens in the Let There Be Carnage post-credit scene?<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">Forget the<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/shang-chi-post-credits-captain-marvel\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">return of the Ten Rings or Captain Marvel blasting off into space<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\"> to pussyfoot around the future of Phase 4 and beyond \u2013 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:\">Let There be Carnage <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:\">officially adds Venom to the MCU. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">After besting Woody Harrelson\u2019s Carnage, Eddie and his symbiote buddy are chilling in bed. The run-down Latin American hotel room and telenovela are gone, and instead, there\u2019s something much more important playing on the TV screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">Reminding us all that J.K. Simmons has always been the MVP of the Spider-Verse, we hear the booming voice of J. Jonah Jameson. Catching up with <em>that<\/em><\/span> <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/there-are-two-huge-reveals-in-the-spider-man-far-from-home-post-credits-scenes\/&quot;\"><span style=\"font-weight:\">Spider-Man Far From Home cliffhanger<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">, Eddie and Venom are pulled into (what we assume) is the main MCU timeline, specifically the moment where Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is unmasked as plain old Peter Parker to the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">The Let There Be Carnage\/Sonyverse logo of The Daily Bugle is swapped out for the one we see in Far From Home, and the dynamic duo ends up in a fancy hotel room. Venom and Eddie are baffled when the room\u2019s guest steps out of the bathroom and asks who they are. Don\u2019t worry, we\u2019re are confused as you are, pal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What does this mean for Spider-Man: No Way Home?<\/b><\/h2>\n<div class=\"&quot;image-handler__container\" style=\"padding-bottom:\"> <img class=\"&quot;wp-image-1335905\" align=\"\" data-src=\"&quot;https:\/\/images.immediate.co.uk\/production\/volatile\/sites\/3\/2021\/08\/Peter-Doctor-Strange-01f4494.jpg?quality=90&amp;resize=620%2C413&quot;\" width=\"&quot;620&quot;\" height=\"&quot;413&quot;\" alt=\"&quot;Tom\" title=\"&quot;Peter\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">Importantly, Let There Be Carnage\u2019s post-credits scene sets up<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/spider-man-3-release-date-marvel\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">,<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/doctor-strange-2-release-date-cast-trailer-plot\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">, and Venom 3. There\u2019s convenient timing, thanks to Eddie and Venom entering the MCU just as Jameson reveals Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Although it\u2019s a new shot (seemingly made just for Let There Be Carnage) of an unmasked Holland, it sparks Venom to grumble, \u201cThat guy\u201d \u2013 suggesting the symbiote hive has knowledge of the Multiverse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">Eddie and Venom\u2019s transportation into the MCU is presumably linked to the plot of No Way Home and Peter Parker\u2019s botched wish that the world forgets he\u2019s Spider-Man. In the No Way Home trailer, Doctor Strange\u2019s spell goes awry and the doors to the Multiverse are blown wide open. It\u2019s this that seemingly allows the likes of Alfred Molina\u2019s Doc Ock and Jamie Foxx\u2019s Electro to bleed in from Sam Raimi and Marc Webb\u2019s separate Spider-Man franchises.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">There are various theories on why Strange\u2019s spell goes wrong, and<\/span> <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/mephisto-doctor-strange-spider-man\/&quot;\"><span style=\"font-weight:\">whether it\u2019s Mephisto in disguise<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">, the moment<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/loki-episode-6-finale-review-live\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">Sylvie kills He Who Remains in Loki<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">, or<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/evil-dr-strange-what-if-no-way-home\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">What\u2026If?\u2019s evil Doc<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">, <em>something<\/em> tears the fabric of time and space apart. Fans were told to expect to know more about<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/sony-executive-spider-man-venom-newsupdate\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">Sony\u2019s plans for Holland to appear<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\"> in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters once No Way Home releases, but instead, Hardy seems to be the one crossing over.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">Unfortunately, Venom\u2019s post-credits scene still leaves a question mark hanging over Daniel Espinosa\u2019s<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/morbius-release-date\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">Morbius<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\"> and<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/morbius-spider-man-mcu-connection\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">Michael Keaton\u2019s apparent return as Vulture<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\"> from the MCU. Morbius was supposed to release in July 2020, which means it would\u2019ve leapfrogged Let There Be Carnage\u2019s post-credit twist. Much like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier swapped places in<\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/black-widow-valentina-scene-explained\/&quot;\"> <span style=\"font-weight:\">introducing Julia Louis-Dreyfus\u2019 Valentina Allegra de Fontaine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\">, it\u2019s possible Serkis was gifted the honour of bringing the Sony-Verse and MCU together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:\">We\u2019ve already speculated about the<\/span> <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/spider-man-no-way-home-sinister-six\/&quot;\"><span style=\"font-weight:\">line-up of the Sinister Six being formed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\"> in No Way Home, and there\u2019s just enough room for Venom. Then again, with mounting evidence that <\/span><a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/spider-man-3-spider-verse-rumours\/&quot;\"><span style=\"font-weight:\">Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will reprise their roles<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:\"> as Peter Parker from the Raimi and Webb days, are we in danger of having Spider-Man 3 overkill in terms of characters? Here\u2019s hoping things become clearer when Spider-Man: No Way Home releases on 17th December.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Venom: Let There Be Carnage is in US cinemas now, and comes to UK cinemas on the 15th October.
