{"id":5299,"date":"2021-10-05T11:48:53","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T09:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/?p=1377904"},"modified":"2021-10-05T12:16:09","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T10:16:09","slug":"channel-4-apologises-after-experiencing-broadcast-issues-for-10-days","status":"publish","type":"rss_feed","link":"https:\/\/c01.purpledshub.com\/radiotimes\/rss_feed\/channel-4-apologises-after-experiencing-broadcast-issues-for-10-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Channel 4 apologises after experiencing broadcast issues for 10 days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rssexcerpt\"><\/p><p class=\"rssauthor\">By Lidia Molina-Whyte\n                \t\t<\/p><p class=\"rssbyline\">Published: Tuesday, 05 October 2021 at 12:00 am<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<p>Channel 4 has apologised following ongoing broadcasting issues across its channels and on-demand services for the past ten days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Saturday 25th September 2021, Channel 4\u2019s channels and on-demand services were significantly affected when the fire suppression system was triggered at Red Bee Media, the company that broadcasts our services,\u201d a statement on the channel\u2019s <a href=\"\/\/www.channel4.com\/press\/news\/statement-channel-4-regarding-technical-issues&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> read. \u201cThe building was evacuated and no one was injured, but as a result, we were temporarily off-air.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though Channel 4 and all its attached channels are broadcasting again, there are still lingering issues with its programmes and adverts due to the incident, particularly with its audio and video quality.<\/p> <p>\u201cSince the incident we have also continued to have problems with our All 4 service and are not able to offer any programmes with audio description, subtitles or sign language,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcaster went on to apologise for the issues caused, but could not offer a timeline as to when the ongoing problems might be fixed: \u201cWe would like to apologise for any problems you might still be experiencing as you watch your favourite shows. We want to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to return to a normal service as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntil then, bear with us if things don\u2019t always go to plan. We are trying our best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of the programmes affected include <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/married-at-first-sight-uk-reunion\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Married at First Sight UK<\/a>. The broadcaster was meant to air the finale on Thursday 30th September but repeated the same episode that had aired the night before instead. Other viewers also reported a technical glitch when attempting to watch Gogglebox.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Looking for something else to watch?
