While the romance of the reality series can be appreciated, it\u2019s the drama, pointless spats and shock bombshells that keep viewers intrigued (Joey Essex, we\u2019re looking at you).<\/p>\n
One islander this year who has been at the centre of a spot drama is 24-year-old Harriett Blackmore<\/a>, who previously told RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press she wouldn\u2019t be \u201cinvolved in drama\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I\u2019m really like a mediator,\u201d she said ahead of her appearance in the villa. \u201cI\u2019ll always stick up for what\u2019s right, and I\u2019ll always be a good friend and support my friends\u2019 decision.<\/p>\n \u201cBut no, I won\u2019t be involved in drama, I [will] probably just try and defuse the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n However, in last night\u2019s episode, Harriett found herself on the end of Jess\u2019s wrath after she found out that Harriett and Ronnie had shared a kiss in the Hideaway.<\/p>\n While many viewers have shared their annoyance over Harriett\u2019s actions, former islander Georgia Steel has stuck up for the dancer, explaining that Harriett is the reason a lot of people are tuning in.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> on behalf of Heart Bingo<\/a>, Georgia explained: \u201cI think Harriett is causing a lot of drama, and I know she\u2019s obviously very controversial \u2013 but you\u2019ve got to think from an entertainment point of view, the people that are in that drama, we have to thank them because they\u2019re the people that have given us the entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Georgia, who was recently on screens during Love Island: All Stars, continued: \u201cAnd it isn\u2019t that deep. Like, it is just a reality TV show. It\u2019s not that deep.
