The hotly anticipated Taskmaster VR<\/a> launches tomorrow (Thursday 13th June 2024).<\/p>\n The game will allow fans to step into the role of a Taskmaster contestant, pitting their wits against virtual tasks in a digital version of the iconic Taskmaster house<\/a>, as well as being able to design their own tasks in a separate Creative Mode<\/a>.<\/p>\n We were lucky enough to be able to ask Alex Horne himself, creator and much-belittled star of the beloved TV show, for some tips and tricks on playing the video game version (which he\u2019s been involved with as a producer and a voice actor).<\/p>\n His response was every bit as deadpan as you\u2019d expect. \u201cWell, I got really frustrated, if I\u2019m honest,\u201d Horne told RadioTimes.com<\/a> over Zoom prior to the launch, succinctly summing up his experiences of playing the game.<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cI always thought I\u2019d be a good contestant. And you realise very quickly, \u2018Oh it\u2019s so annoying.\u2019 All the tricks that I try to put in the show are in this as well.\u201d<\/p>\n So, after a taste of his own tricksy medicine, what\u2019s the actual advice from the man himself?<\/p>\n In his words: \u201cYou\u2019ve just got to keep doing it again and again and again. And there\u2019s some physical things, there\u2019s some skill, but also, it\u2019s always second guessing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not\u2026 it\u2019s never simple. So yeah, always just always be suspicious of Alex Horne.\u201d Good advice for life perhaps!<\/p>\n
