The actress teased some “romcom” vibes between the pair. <\/p>

Casualty has returned with another high-stakes box set: Storm Damage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new episodes focus on Cam (Barney Walsh) as he and Siobhan (Melanie Hill) \u201cface their most traumatic shift yet\u201d, and the rest of the ED will, undoubtedly, face even more brutal chaotic moments throughout, but there could also be a blossoming romance between two co-workers\u2026<\/p>\n

In the first episode, viewers were introduced to psychiatric liaison nurse Sophia Peters, played by Kellie Shirley, who constantly found herself butting heads with consultant Dylan Keogh (William Beck).<\/p>\n

Now, Dylan has rarely thrived in social situations, with his abruptness and cynical nature often rubbing people the wrong way, but Sophia may not back down so easily as the series continues.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Shirley teased that there is a \u201cromcom\u201d of sorts between Sophia and Dylan, with a potential romance on the cards.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess you\u2019re gonna get this romcom vibes from Dr Keogh and Sophia,\u201d she said. \u201cThe will they\/won\u2019t they\u2026 there\u2019s some of that going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, Shirley couldn\u2019t tease too much, so viewers will have to stay tuned, however the actress did note there will also be \u201chard hitting mental health stories\u201d that will take precedent for her character.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I\u2019ve] got some things coming up, which is brilliant, because there is so much mental health, even more so now in society with services being cut,\u201d she told RadioTimes.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Shirley continued: \u201cI think the Casualty writers are shining a light on something that\u2019s really important [and] that is very current in contemporary society. So that\u2019s brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n
