Matthew Lewis said he’s “not in any rush” to go back to the wizarding world, but that playing Neville as an adult could be “interesting”. <\/p>

We\u2019re still two years out from the Harry Potter<\/a> reboot series arriving on Max, but already the stars of the film franchise<\/a> are weighing in on their potential to return.<\/p>\n

While it seems likely that the show will feature a whole new cast, without any of the previous stars reprising their roles or playing other characters, Neville Longbottom star Matthew Lewis spoke to People<\/a> about the possibility of a return, and said he\u2019s \u201cnot in any rush\u201d to return to the wizarding world.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cThe reason I got into this job in the first place was because I have a very short attention span. I am very, very poor at maintaining anything for any length of time. I\u2019ve had many, many hobbies and passions over the years. Not a single one do I still do. I fall madly in love with things and then almost immediately forget about them.\u201d<\/p>\n

One the possibility of appearing in the show, Lewis added: \u201cIt\u2019s not something I\u2019m looking at or want to do but would not turn my nose up at. I\u2019d be very interested to see if it was Neville as an adult \u2014 a whole different vibe. That could be interesting. I would certainly look at that and consider it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it seems unlikely that the Max series would feature Neville as an adult, this could give hope to fans that Lewis would be up for playing the character in a film adaptation of stage-play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.<\/p>\n
