The showrunner made a pledge! <\/p>
Russell T Davies has promised fans he will reunite with Torchwood actress Eve Myles in the future, as he makes a pledge in a new video<\/a>.<\/p>\n Rolling the BAFTA dice on some of the characters he has created over the course of his career during an episode of Roll Play, the Doctor Who showrunner landed on Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper in Torchwood \u2013 a role that was made specifically for her, according to Davies.<\/p>\n Reflecting on their work together, Davies explained: \u201cI love her. I\u2019m sad I\u2019m not working with Eve Myles at the moment. She\u2019s a Welsh actor, so I\u2019d seen her for years.<\/p>\n \u201cShe did a series on BBC Wales called Belonging, and I used to sit and watch it thinking, \u2018I\u2019m dying to work with her.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cShe came in and did one Doctor Who, and it was so brilliant and so mad and so lovely and so unforgettable I just thought I\u2019ve got to work with her again \u2013 so I created a show called Torchwood and gave her the lead.<\/p> \u201cIt was written for her, it was a straight offer. I think she\u2019s amazing\u2026 she\u2019s properly brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Torchwood, which aired for four seasons from 2006, starred the likes of John Barrowman, Burn Gorman and Naoko Mori, and saw Myles\u2019s character, Gwen, accept Jack\u2019s offer to join Torchwood and become his second-in-command.<\/p>\n As for whether the pair could reunite on screen once more, never say never! Davies made \u201ca pledge\u201d on camera that he will work with Myles in the future.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI\u2019m making a pledge now, on camera \u2013 I\u2019m going to work with Eve Myles again soon.\u201d<\/p>\n You can watch the full video below.<\/p>\n\n
