As Horne told us over Zoom: \u201cI don\u2019t know how many episodes we\u2019ve done now, but that\u2019s a lot of times I\u2019ve heard that story.\u201d<\/p>\n
He revealed: \u201cIt\u2019s not quite<\/em> true, which I think is why he does it. In that, if it was heartbreak every time, I don\u2019t think he would do it.\u201d<\/p>\nSo there\u2019s no truth to the story that Horne was forced by the network to rescind hosting duties and get comfortable in the sidekick role?<\/p>\n
As Horne told us: \u201cNo, I never wanted to host it. And I always wanted Greg to host it, because he\u2019s so brilliant.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I really enjoy being the sidekick and sort of being able to pull strings, subtly, and without having the weight of the show on my shoulders.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo no, it\u2019s not it\u2019s not particularly true [Greg\u2019s story]. But it is funny, so we lean into that.\u201d<\/p>\n
