Just like the next new season of the real-life sport around Europe, the Football Manger 25 release date will be here before you know it.<\/p>\n

The biggest update to the series in years is promising a lot<\/em> of big changes and additions, not least the inclusion of women\u2019s football \u2013 finally.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview<\/a> with us, the game\u2019s director revealed that \u201cit\u2019s a really exciting time for the studio\u201d, and that adding women into the game has been \u201can enormous amount of work\u201d.<\/p>\n

FM25 is set to be a true sequel to the series \u2013 not just your bog-standard yearly update.<\/p>\n

As we edge towards its eventual launch, the development team is drip-feeding us new information. It\u2019s exciting stuff for longtime fans, as alongside women\u2019s football now being in the game, the Premier League licence is also included \u2013 and it\u2019s all being played out on a new engine!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot to look forward to.<\/p>\n

When is the FM25 release date? Our best guess<\/b><\/h2>\n
The Football Manager 25 release date should be early or <\/strong>mid-November 2024<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Sega hasn\u2019t officially revealed the game\u2019s release date, so the above date is based solely on when previous FM games have launched. FM24, for example, released on 6th November 2023.<\/p>\n
As FM24 launched on 6th November 2023, we\u2019ve gone with a similar date of early\/mid November 2024 for FM25.<\/p>\n
Given how much is being added to the series in FM25, though, don\u2019t be surprised if this year\u2019s game misses November and takes a little longer.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll update this page with the official release date once it has been revealed.<\/p>\n
Can I pre-order FM25?<\/b><\/h2>\n
No<\/strong>, you cannot pre-order Football Manager 25 yet. Pre-orders of the game should go live once the game\u2019s release date has been officially confirmed.<\/p>
Which consoles and platforms can play FM25?<\/b><\/h2>\n
FM25 will launch on PC\/Mac<\/strong> while Football Manager 25 Console will release on Xbox One, Series X\/S and PS5<\/strong>. This has been confirmed by Sports Interactive and Sega.<\/p>\n
Football Manager 25 Touch and Football Manager 25 Mobile are set to be released, too, presumably on Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS devices.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll update this page when Sports Interactive reveals what platforms FM25 Touch and Mobile are available on.<\/p>\n
FM25 gameplay: New features detailed<\/b><\/h2>\n
FM25 is set to be, \u201cfor the first time in decades, a true sequel\u201d. Those are the words of the development team Sports Interactive.<\/p>\n
In an official blog post<\/a>, the development team explained how: \u201cThe Unity engine will bring a new graphics engine, a fresh user interface and advanced animations, alongside the introduction of women\u2019s football (plus lots more, across platforms).\u201d<\/p>\n
Following a new blog post<\/a>, we know more about the gameplay and new features. \u201cPut simply, it\u2019s the biggest change we\u2019ve embarked on since moving from our previous brand to Football Manager and the biggest tech change in more than 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Expect plenty of the features you know and love to be removed or changed in big ways.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Football in FM25<\/strong><\/h3>\n
In terms of women\u2019s football being added to the game, meanwhile, our exclusive interview with Ant Farley (design manager for Sports Interactive on Football Manager) \u2013 which you can find linked to in the intro! \u2013 details how the development team wants \u201cto do it properly\u201d.<\/p>\n
He continues: \u201cThe level of detail to which we simulate the men\u2019s game, we need to be doing the same for the women\u2019s game.\u201d<\/p>\n
It has been confirmed that \u201cyou will be able to seamlessly move between managing men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams. One game, one ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n
Removed options\/modes<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Touchline Shouts have been removed. According to the development team, \u201cthese won\u2019t be back for the foreseeable future.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Social Media screen has also been removed, but \u201csupporters are still an integral part of the game\u201d.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s more, the Data Chalkboard has been removed, too.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll find that \u201cmost of the existing data metrics and visualisations will still be in FM25\u201d, however.<\/p>\n
In another shocking update, Create-A-Club won\u2019t be included in FM25, either, with the mode due to make its return in FM26 \u201cwith lots of changes and improvements\u201d.<\/p>\n
The re-design of Versus Mode is yet to be started, too, \u201cbut it may be superseded by something else or return in a completely different form\u201d.<\/p>\n
Challenge Mode \u201cis currently scheduled to return completely revamped in either FM26 or FM27\u201d.<\/p>\n
Finally, Fantasy Draft mode \u201cwill not be playable day one of FM25 but will return much-improved later in the cycle alongside the Main Data Update\u201d.<\/p>\n
The team added: \u201cMid-cycle feature releases are something that will become more regular for the series moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
New UI and Unity Engine<\/strong><\/h3>\n
