The player will not be competing in the men’s singles in his final Wimbledon, representatives have confirmed. <\/p>

Any Murray has withdrawn from the singles draw in what has been confirmed to be his final Wimbledon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tennis star underwent back surgery 10 days before the tournament began, with a representative confirming that his withdrawal is due to a slower recovery than anticipated.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, despite working incredibly hard on his recovery since his operation just over a week ago, Andy has taken the very difficult decision not to play the singles this year,\u201d a statement released by the player\u2019s representatives announced.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you can imagine, he is extremely disappointed but has confirmed that he will be playing in the doubles with Jamie and looks forward to competing at Wimbledon for the last time.\u201d<\/p>\n
