As the Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality release date nears, a new gameplay video has materialised to show us what to expect from the game.<\/p>\n
Coming on PC and consoles, this new Doctor Who game will build on the story of the Doctor Who: The Edge of Time VR game<\/a>, with Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant both lending their voices to the project.<\/p>\n The two Doctors will help the companion-like player character to unravel a mystery and take on baddies including the Cybermen, the Daleks and the Weeping Angels.<\/p>\n To learn more about Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality, including that all-important release date, keep on reading!<\/p>\n Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality now has a confirmed release date of 14th October 2021<\/strong>, which sounds just about the right time of year for a new Doctor Who experience.<\/p>\n The autumnal days will be getting shorter, the nights will be drawing in, and it should be the perfect time to hide once again behind our sofas (with our game controllers, of course).<\/p>\n The game was pushed back to October from a slot in September, but hopefully there won\u2019t be any more Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality delays to worry about.<\/p>\n Maze Theory has shared a new first-look gameplay video for Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality. Take a look below to see the sort of things you\u2019ll be doing in the game, including some Sonic Screwdriver action!<\/p>\n\n The developers from Maze Theory have confirmed that Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality will launch on PS4, PS5<\/a>, Xbox One, Xbox Series X<\/a>\/S, Nintendo Switch<\/a> and PC, with Steam handling the PC release. Most players should have a way to play it, then.<\/p>\n Just to be clear \u2013 The Edge of Reality is not<\/em> a VR game, so you won\u2019t need any extra headgear to play this one. Levels and ideas from Maze Theory\u2019s 2019 VR game have been reimagined here with console\/PC players in mind, but you won\u2019t need a headset to enjoy them this time.<\/p>\n While you wait for The Edge of Reality to come out, you could try out the Edge of Time VR game if you wanted, but just be aware that some of the content from that game has been reworked for The Edge of Reality.<\/p>\n You can\u2019t pre-order Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality just yet, but we\u2019ll be sure to update this page when those retailer links begin to appear. For the time being, you can wishlist the game on Steam<\/a> or the PlayStation Store<\/a> if you\u2019re that way inclined!
