The BBC is set to celebrate the life of TV doctor Michael Mosley with \u2018Just One Thing Day\u2019 this Friday (12th July) following <\/span>his death on the Greek island of Symi<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mosley<\/a>\u2018s body was discovered near Agia Marina beach in June four days after he went missing while on holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The broadcaster was known for BBC TV shows including Trust Me, I\u2019m a Doctor and Radio 4\u2019s Just One Thing podcast, every episode of which explored<\/span>\u00a0a single action you could carry out to improve your health.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honouring the legacy of the hugely successful podcast, \u2018Just One Thing Day\u2019 will see the BBC appeal to audiences and presenters to perform one simple action in memory of Mosley.<\/span><\/p>\n

It will take place across the day on Friday, with <\/span>BBC Radio 4\u2019s Today set to invite contributions from those who have changed their lives as a result of Michael\u2019s tips, while on Woman\u2019s Hour Anita Rani will reflect on the impact Michael has had on her own life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Evan Davies will be testing out waking up with a cold shower on PM, while The Food Programme will showcase past Just One Thing topics, ranging from eating oily fish to the benefits of turmeric.<\/p>\n

Radio 2, 6 Music and BBC Radio 1 will also honour the ongoing legacy of Just One Thing, as will TV shows Morning Live and The One Show.<\/p>\n

Mohit Bakaya, Director of Speech and Controller of BBC Radio 4 and 4 Extra, said: \u201cMichael\u2019s broadcasting changed people\u2019s lives. His Radio 4 podcast inspired so many to take up small, everyday things to improve their health and well-being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo we thought it would be fitting to dedicate a day to the impact he had on people\u2019s lives and celebrate his legacy within broadcasting and beyond. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a hugely well-liked and widely admired colleague within radio and TV,\u00a0 so it is no surprise that so many programmes across the BBC have been keen to share their support for Michael as part of \u2018Just One Thing Day\u2019. I hope audiences will be similarly inspired to join us to do \u2018Just One Thing\u2019 in memory of Michael.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
