It\u2019s fair to say that Ruby hasn\u2019t been the most popular figure on Emmerdale since debuting on the soap in January.<\/p>\n
The character has made plenty of enemies in the village so far, not least when she killed Ethan in a revenge hit and run incident back in May.<\/p>\n
But according to star Beth Cordingly, fans can expect to learn much more about the character \u2013 and perhaps why she is the way she is \u2013 in upcoming episodes of the soap that dig into her past.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the inaugural\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a>\u00a0Soap Awards sponsored by\u00a0Inspired Villages<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 where she was nominated for Best Newcomer \u2013 Cordingly teased the arrival of some new characters who are very familiar to Ruby.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re going to find out more about her history,\u201d she explained during an exclusive interview. \u201cThen maybe characters from her past appearing\u2026 I think I can say that!\u201d<\/p> And that\u2019s not the only exciting development in store for Ruby, with Cordingly also revealing that she will play a part in a \u201cvery dramatic\u201d stunt week in the not-so distant future.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have \u2013 someone mentioned outside so I think I\u2019m allowed to mention it \u2013 we\u2019ve been doing a big stunt week that I\u2019ve been very involved with,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cSo that\u2019s been very exciting and very dramatic.
