Over the last few months, Emmerdale<\/a> viewers have been privy to some disturbing scenes between Tom King and Belle Dingle, as actors James Chase and Eden Taylor-Draper portray the pair in a domestic abuse storyline<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Announced back in February, the soap confirmed it would explore Belle and Tom\u2019s dark marriage, with Tom\u2019s abusive side seeping in and things worsening at every turn as he aims to control his wife.<\/p>\n

Now in July, viewers have seen Tom physically and mentally abuse Belle \u2013 spying on her through a tracker, hitting and burning her, and controlling her money. And in an upcoming single-strand episode<\/a>, Tom\u2019s coercive control on wife Belle reaches terrifying new heights.<\/p>\n

While Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has grown suspicious of Tom<\/a>, the Dingles are mostly in the dark of what has been happening behind closed doors, but things could begin to change.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively at the\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Soap Awards 2024<\/strong>\u00a0sponsored by\u00a0Inspired Villages<\/a>, James Chase opened up on when the Dingles will find out the truth.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cI think something that\u2019s going out in a couple of weeks, I don\u2019t know how much I can say, but there is a sort of moment where potential Dingles notice something and there\u2019s a moment [where they] come down on him like thunder.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it seems Tom may get away with things again, as Chase noted that if they do find out, \u201cit\u2019d be absolutely game over\u201d, but his manipulation tactics may preside once more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s why Tom [has] survived up until now,\u201d he continued. \u201cHe\u2019s so good at hiding it and he\u2019s so good at manipulating that he can keep the truth at bay.\u201d<\/p>\n
