Misbah plays detective! <\/p>
Harvey Virdi has revealed that her Hollyoaks<\/a> character Misbah Maalik could be walking into danger very soon, as she becomes embroiled in the mystery of unknown gangster figure \u2018Blue\u2019.<\/p>\n Misbah has entered into a new relationship with Donny Clark, played by Brookside legend Louis Emerick.<\/p>\n And with Donny somehow involved in unravelling the identity of Blue, Virdi joined us at the RadioTimes.com<\/b><\/span>\u00a0Soap Awards 2024<\/strong>\u00a0sponsored by\u00a0Inspired Villages<\/a> to exclusively tease where her alter ego fits into the drama.<\/p>\n \u201cI think initially there\u2019s excitement there of, \u2018Wow, what\u2019s going on here?\u2019 and trying to play a little bit of Miss Marple.<\/p>\n \u201cBut actually, it\u2019s more serious than that, and getting caught up in all of that stuff is quite scary \u2013 so I think she\u2019s jumped in with two feet into something she doesn\u2019t really know a lot about,\u201d warned the actress.<\/p>\n \u201cI think she thinks it\u2019s all going to be okay and, \u2018We\u2019ll have to work it out,\u2019 but I don\u2019t think she realises how actually dangerous this could be. It\u2019s outside her comfort zone; she\u2019s a doctor, she doesn\u2019t do things like this!\u201d<\/p>\n As for Misbah and Donny\u2019s future as a couple, does the star think Misbah is making a mistake rushing into another romance so soon?<\/p>\n \u201cI think she went into a relationship with Zain quite quickly, and that sort of love was a different kind of love to what she sees with Donny.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope not \u2013 to be honest, I don\u2019t even know myself what\u2019s gonna happen,\u201d she mused.<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHe has<\/em> got a chequered past, we know that; what\u2019s going to happen, I don\u2019t know, because she\u2019s had to overcome a lot of her inhibitions to be with someone like Donny, and it is<\/em> quick, but fun!<\/p>\n \u201cSo maybe she\u2019s in that place where you\u2019re getting older, your kids are grown up \u2013 why not?\u201d<\/p>\n Virdi went on to explain her hopes for Misbah for the coming months, and it looks like she\u2019s firmly behind this new pairing with Donny.<\/p>\n \u201cI used to say I\u2019d really want Misbah to fall in love and be all girly, and I think that\u2019s sort of happening now and she\u2019s kind of fallen for this chap.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d really like them to see where this goes with [those] two, to explore that, to see how tight they can be as a couple. And then who knows what they\u2019re gonna have to deal with?
