The actor teased some big changes… <\/p>
Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has offered up some intriguing new details about new character Rex<\/a> (played by former EastEnders<\/a> star Jonny Labey), who Ste recently became very intimately involved with!<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively at the RadioTimes.com<\/b><\/span>\u00a0Soap Awards 2024<\/strong>\u00a0sponsored by\u00a0Inspired Villages<\/a>, Richardson was asked whether Ste will stick with husband James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) or find more excitement with fling Rex, who brings plenty of chaos to the village.<\/p>\n \u201cWithout giving too much away, the Ste and James relationship \u2013 James is gonna have to find out at some point, because anyone that cheats in a soap, it never stays buried. It is gonna come out.\u201d<\/p>\n While the actor couldn\u2019t reveal too much on Ste\u2019s future, he has hinted that there\u2019s a lot at stake when it comes to Rex.<\/p>\n \u201cSo there will be scenes of volatility and upset and tears, but I also think it\u2019s quite nice to see the dangerous side of Rex and not knowing [what he\u2019s going to do].<\/p>\n \u201cSte\u2019s quite susceptible at being manipulated and groomed in situations, and Rex is quite a powerful character. It\u2019ll be quite nice to see the dynamic between [those] two and what could happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Then there\u2019s the prospect of Hollyoaks<\/a>\u2018 September flash-forward, which sees the soap jump forward to a year later in the village. What can we expect of Ste?<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got long hair now, so that\u2019s a clue as to something! Maybe I\u2019m allowed to grow it because I don\u2019t need to keep it the same anymore,\u201d Richardson teased.<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s heavily involved, and I say the last line of the episode before the new stuff kicks in. That\u2019s all I can say!\u201d<\/p>\n So, it looks like Ste is set to be central to all the action! But as for that jaw-dropping twist which, at the start of the year, saw Ste accidentally kill teen Ella (Erin Palmer), the star did briefly wonder whether his character\u2019s time was up!<\/p>\n \u201cThe first thing I asked when we got told about it last year, that there was gonna be this big crash stunt episode and it was all gonna be Ste\u2019s fault, and I was like, \u2018Am I going, then, am I going to prison?!\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I did know from the very beginning that I would get away with it, but I didn\u2019t realise the scenarios and situations that would happen to get him to this point.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s like a cat with nine lives, he gets up to mischief and always gets away with it.\u201d<\/p>\n The\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/span>\u00a0Soap Awards 2024, sponsored by\u00a0Inspired Villages<\/a>, took place on 13th July.
