Last month, the comedy star addressed the \u201ctight\u201d schedule<\/a> for the episode, which isn\u2019t expected to film until September or October, meaning there will need to be a smooth shoot and rapid post-production to have it ready in time for Christmas Day.<\/p>\n At the time, he also revealed that a \u201cfew trims and little adjustments\u201d were needed, which have now been made by himself and co-creator Ruth Jones \u2013 although it was by no means easy.<\/p>\n Speaking to Chris Evans on Virgin Radio<\/a>, Corden explained: \u201cWriting is really fun because you can just go \u2018anything can happen\u2019.<\/p> \u201cBut when you rewrite stuff, you\u2019re dealing with a lot of logistics and, \u2018Well, look, we might not be able to shoot that, or this needs to be in this location, is there any way this can change?\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cAnd, frankly, it\u2019s too long. What we have been doing the last few weeks really is just trying to make it as economical as possible. And we finished it [the script] yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n The episode has a big cliffhanger to resolve, with 2019\u2019s record-breaking Christmas special<\/a> ending with Nessa (Jones) proposing to on-again, off-again flame Smithy (Corden) in a bombshell twist.<\/p>\n Soon enough, fans will finally learn his response in a momentous special that will say goodbye to all of the show\u2019s beloved characters \u2013 as Corden has again emphasised that the show is \u201cnever\u201d coming back after this.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will never write anything that Pam says again.
