Second celebrity voted out revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rssexcerpt\"><\/p><p class=\"rssauthor\">By David Craig\n                \t\t<\/p><p class=\"rssbyline\">Published: Sunday, 10 October 2021 at 12:00 am<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<p>The BBC\u2019s <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/entertainment\/talent-shows\/strictly-come-dancing-2021-start-date-news\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> had an absolutely jaw-dropping Movie Week this year, which saw mesmerising performances from the likes of Rose Ayling-Ellis, John Whaite and Rhys Stephenson \u2013 but still, someone sadly had to leave the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The dreaded dance-off was revealed on tonight\u2019s results show, with soap star <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/entertainment\/katie-mcglynn-strictly-come-dancing-2021-contestant\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Katie McGlynn<\/a> finding herself in the bottom two for the second time along with Loose Women panellist <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/entertainment\/judi-love-strictly-come-dancing-2021-contestant\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Judi Love<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They were tasked with performing their dances one last time so that the judges may decide who should stay in the contest for another week, with the decision ultimately splitting the panel.<\/p>\n<p>Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Love after she repeated her Charleston to When You\u2019re Good to Mama from the musical Chicago, while Anton Du Beke felt McGlynn was more deserving of a second chance having been impressed by her American Smooth to <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/movies\/cruella-release-date-cast-trailer-plot-disney\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Cruella<\/a> De Vil.<\/p>\n<p>That meant the deciding vote went to Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas, who gave her support to Love but admitted that it was a close call, with both couples giving everything they had to the dance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is always a tough part of the job,\u201d she began. \u201cBoth couples gave it their very very best, I didn\u2019t see any mistakes from either one, both beautiful performances. Thanks so much for teaching me in your funny ways, we have had so much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marquez added: \u201cI have loved it, the love that she has for the show. I think talking for myself, and all the pros, when we come to the show, it isn\u2019t just about someone who can dance, it is someone who wants to learn, who wants to improve, and makes us love what we do, and makes our job enjoyable and easy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what I had with Katie and I will never forget this experience, it\u2019s been incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McGlynn is the second celebrity to be eliminated from this year\u2019s Strictly Come Dancing, following actor and comedian <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/entertainment\/nina-wadia-strictly-come-dancing-2021-contestant\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Nina Wadia<\/a> who left the competition last week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.
