Channel 4\u2019s A Place in the Sun<\/a> returns on 8th November with 15 brand new episodes, and there\u2019s a new presenter in town!<\/p>\n

TV and Radio Presenter Leah Charles-King will join the team of property experts when the show airs in November.<\/p>\n

As usual, the presenters will be be jetting off to sunny locations with the goal of finding some lucky couples their dream home abroad.<\/p>\n

Leah\u2019s first assignment will be helping retired teachers Carrie and Steve find their dream property in the town of Islantilla on Spain\u2019s Costa de la Luz. With a budget of \u00a3110,000, they\u2019re looking for a two bedroom apartment which is as close to the beach as possible.<\/p>\n

As Leah makes her debut on the show, here\u2019s everything you need to know about her, and the current A Place in the Sun presenters, including Lee Juggurnauth<\/a>, who joined the series earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Leah Charles-King is a TV and radio presenter who has been buying, renovating and selling properties in the UK for many years.<\/p>\n

She found she had a natural flair for it, helping numerous people find their dream homes. Away from the UK, Leah and her parents own properties and land in Saint Lucia and Grenada in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

She is also the Ambassador for Bipolar UK, a charity close to her heart having recently talked publicly about her battle with the condition.<\/p>\n

Talking about her new position on A Place in the Sun, Leah said: \u201cI\u2019m so excited to be joining the A Place in the Sun family! I\u2019ve been watching the show since it began and I feel especially privileged to be working on such an iconic programme.\u00a0Landing this dream gig has been life changing for me as nine years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar and I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d work in television again because of the stigma towards mental illness. It proves there is life after diagnosis. My story is one of tenacity and overcoming adversity, and\u00a0A Place In The Sun has given me a new hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jasmine is best known for being the face of Channel 4\u2019s A Place in the Sun: Home or Away?\u00a0for which she has filmed over 250 episodes.<\/p>\n

The series has taken her all over the world searching for the best properties for her house-hunters.<\/p>\n

Since she joined the show in 2004, the series has seen a surge in ratings and it is now broadcast in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.<\/p>\n

Before her career in television, Jasmine worked in the Health Club Industry. She is a qualified fitness instructor and lived in the Algarve working as a marketing manager for a luxury health resort.<\/p>\n

Lee is a property developer, who has a background in the music industry working with the likes of Billy Ocean, Take That and Lulu. He also has an interest in fashion and will be launching his own clothing line in the Summer.<\/p>\n

Lee joined the Channel 4 show in 2021<\/a>, however, he first auditioned for it two years ago.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Lee revealed: \u201cI got really far down to the final two and at the time they wanted a girl, so someone else got it.\u00a0 Obviously, at the time if you were to ask me, of course I was devastated. You get so far, so you can always kind of taste it. And then when you don\u2019t get it you kind of think, \u2018OK!\u2019 My mum always tells me everything does happen for a reason and nothing that is meant for you will pass. And obviously, sometimes you have to learn the hard way!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jonnie is a presenter, writer, lecturer and business and property expert. He has a background in hotel and leisure management. In 2004, he was selected from hundreds of applicants along with co-presenter Jasmine Harman to present Channel 4\u2019s show A Place in the Sun: Home or Away?<\/p>\n

Jonnie is also one of the lead presenters of The BBC\u2019s Escape To The Country.<\/p>\n

Laura is a television presenter, who joined the Channel 4 show in 2011.<\/p>\n

At the age of 19, Laura bought and self-funded her first property. She has since renovated a string of homes.<\/p>\n

She has presented shows for the Winter Sun and Summer Sun series, as well as A Place in the Sun: Home or Away? She also co-presented Channel 4\u2019s Cowboy Builders & Bodge Jobs in 2015, and finished in second place on the sixth series of Dancing on Ice in 2011.<\/p>
