Marvel\u2019s Guardians of the Galaxy are here but they are swapping the big screen for the video game world! The whole gang of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, Rocket Racoon and Mantis are all set to appear in this virtual adventure that is out this week.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s Guardians of the Galaxy comes from Square Enix and Eidos Montreal, the same team as the Marvel\u2019s Avengers game<\/a> and this is a separate world from what we have seen of the characters in the MCU.<\/p>\n

When is the Guardians of the Galaxy game release date?<\/h2>\n

The Guardians of the Galaxy game release date is taking place on Tuesday, 26th October 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 that\u2019s the day on which the GotG game will launch into the world and we\u2019ll all be able to play it. You\u2019d better start clearing some space in your diary, then!<\/p>\n

Guardians of the Galaxy game launch time<\/h2>\n

There will be no hanging about to play this time! The Guardians of the Galaxy game launch time will occur at midnight<\/strong> wherever you are in the world. So here in the UK, that 00.00 am BST on 26th October \u2013 that\u2019s the time at which British fans will be able to jump into the game.<\/p>\n

Which consoles and platforms is the Guardians of the Galaxy game on?<\/h2>\n

The Guardians of the Galaxy game is slated to launch on PS4, PS5<\/a>, Xbox One, Xbox Series X<\/a>\/S and Windows 10 PC. The game will also launch on Nintendo Switch (as a recent Nintendo Direct<\/a> showcase confirmed), and we wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see the GotG game showing up on Google Stadia at some point down the road (lots of previous Square Enix games have).<\/p>\n

Can I pre-order the Guardians of the Galaxy game?<\/h2>\n

Yes, pre-orders have begun for the Guardians of the Galaxy game, although some retailers haven\u2019t got their product pages live yet. If it\u2019s a physical version that you\u2019re after, GAME<\/a> will sell you the standard boxed version of the game for \u00a359.99, and they\u2019ll even throw in an exclusive steelbook.<\/p>\n

If you want to show some more love to the Guardians, GAME<\/a> also has the Cosmic Deluxe edition \u2013 an upgraded version of the physical release which includes some extra goodies \u2013 but it does cost \u00a379.99.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re more of a digital download sort of person, you\u2019ll find the option to pre-order Guardians of the Galaxy on Sony\u2019s PlayStation store<\/a> and Microsoft\u2019s Xbox store<\/a>. Or if you\u2019re a PC player, you can choose between Steam<\/a> and the Epic Games Store<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Over on Metacritic<\/a>, the Guardians of the Galaxy game currently has a score of 81\/100 which means it has been generally well-received. Most are praising the story and the characters while admitting that combat is fun yet basic while certain flaws stop it from being an outright classic.<\/p>\n

As for our review<\/a>, we said that \u201cif you had any doubts that Marvel characters could make for great gaming experiences \u2013 after the Avengers game, perhaps \u2013 this thrill ride should quell them. Oh, and the soundtrack is superb too.\u201d<\/p>\n
