Lisa [McGee, the show\u2019s creator] knew she had huge ambitions with this one, [with] what she wanted to do. She\u2019s a genius. Like, there\u2019s not really any other word for her. She just \u2013 everything is so brilliantly balanced and nuanced and the characters, there\u2019s so much detail in every single character in those scripts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked about <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/comedy\/derry-girls-james-erin-romance\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">James and Erin\u2019s will-they-won\u2019t-they romance<\/a>, she said: \u201cI don\u2019t think I can say much about specific things like about James and Erin, but I think there\u2019s no way people are going to be disappointed. It\u2019s really magical. I cried and cried and cried when I finished reading the scripts. Because, you know, it\u2019s our last one.
