Netflix fantasy series Shadow and Bone<\/a> is officially coming back for a second season, with a return to Ravka and Ketterdam announced after the debut of the first series last year.<\/p>\n

But what might fans expect from season two? While presumably based on author Leigh Bardugo\u2019s second Grisha novel Siege and Storm<\/a> (and spin-off Six of Crows), more specific details have been murky thus far.<\/p>\n

Happily for viewers, though, series stars Freddy Carter and Ben Barnes have now dropped a few hints about what they\u2019d like to see in the follow-up, specifically focusing on their characters Kaz Brekker and the Darkling (AKA General Kirigan) as they move forward into new storylines.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst things first, I want to go backwards,\u201d Carter told the crowd at an MCM London Comic-Con panel.<\/p>

\u201cI think I really want to show Kaz\u2019s backstory, which is sad for me because I\u2019ll probably be a little old to do it. But I think that would be pretty cool. I think it\u2019s quite important for the show. I\u2019d love to see that to go back and see where Kaz Brekker came from.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, that\u2019s one of my favourite parts from the book actually,\u201d Barnes agreed. \u201cKaz\u2019s backstory is kind of wonderfully painful.\u201d<\/p>\n
