Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War, Apple TV+<\/a>\u00a0drama series Dickinson returns for a third and final season.<\/p>\n

In the period drama, True Grit\u2019s Hailee Steinfeld reprises her title role as one of America\u2019s most famous poets, the reclusive Emily Dickinson,\u00a0born in 1830.<\/p>\n

Less than a dozen of Dickinson\u2019s groundbreaking poems were published during her lifetime, but a cache of over 1,8000 poems were discovered and published after her death in 1886. Dickinson\u00a0is<\/span>\u00a0now remembered as one the world\u2019s most well-known poets.<\/p>\n

In the recently released trailer, we see Emily and her family grapple with the violence the American Civil War has wreakedon their country. \u201cWith her world at war, words are all Emily has,\u201d the official Apple TV synopsis teases.<\/p>\n

The third and final season of Dickinson will be premiering on Bonfire Night, 5th November 2021<\/strong> on Apple TV Plus.<\/p>

The returning cast include\u00a0Oscar-nominee Hailee Steinfeld (Romeo & Juliet) as the eccentric young Emily Dickinson, while British actress Ella Hunt (Cold Feet) plays her best friend, lover, and sister-in-law, Susan \u2018Sue\u2019 Gilbert.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the cast are 30 Rock\u2019s Jane Krakowski\u00a0as\u00a0Mrs. Dickinson, rapper <\/span>Wiz Khalifa as \u2018Death\u2019,\u00a0<\/span>and newcomer Adrian Enscoe as Emily\u2019s older and jealous brother, Austin Dickinson.<\/p>\n
