So, you know, you can be sad about it, and you can be sad that they\u2019re gone. Or the better way of thinking about it is: how lucky and fortunate was I to get to know them at all?\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking about Rigg\u2019s role more specifically, he added, \u201cI know in the movie which line is the last line she recorded. Because we recorded some extra dialogue, and there\u2019s a part of it, whenever that comes up, I can\u2019t not think, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s the last line that Diana speaks in a movie.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know, it\u2019s difficult to put it into words, other than I just am so proud of\u2026 I\u2019m so glad I got to work with her, and I think she\u2019s so amazing in the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n
He explained that Rigg\u2019s daughter Rachael Stirling had recently had the chance to watch the movie, and said she was really moved by it \u2013 in some ways that he might not have been able to predict.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was interesting, the thing she said that set her off crying was a close-up of Diana\u2019s hands putting down a cup of tea. She said afterwards, \u2018I wasn\u2019t ready to see Mum\u2019s hands on the big screen again.\u2019 She goes, \u2018I missed her hands.\u2019<\/p>\n
