It\u2019s a good time to be a GTA fan, but when is GTA 6 coming out? That\u2019s the big question on everyone\u2019s lips, with the GTA 6 release date remaining a mystery, even as we continue enjoying all the classic Grand Theft Auto games.<\/p>\n

More than half a decade has passed since the launch of GTA 5, but the GTA 6 release date still seems a long way enough. There hasn\u2019t yet been a formal announcement of the game from the developers at Rockstar or their owners at Take-Two Interactive, so it still feels like there could be years left to wait \u2013 or at least a hefty number of months!<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition release date<\/a> has given us all an excuse to dust off the trusty old cheat codes for San Andreas<\/a>, Vice City<\/a> and GTA 3<\/a>. Plus, new versions of GTA 5 seem to launch pretty much every year. But still, we wouldn\u2019t say no to a proper reveal and a confirmed date for GTA 6.<\/p>\n

When is the GTA 6 release date?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The GTA 6 release date has not been announced, but rumblings on the internet seem to be pointing to the year\u00a02025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Rockstar has not announced a GTA 6 release date, though, leaving us all to enjoy our guesswork and fantasies in peace. Just to annoy you, consider this your reminder that the original GTA 5 release date was way back on 17th September 2013.<\/p>\n
A roundup of rumours and leaks, posted on YouTube<\/a> by a chap named Tom Henderson, predicted that we could be waiting until 2025 for GTA 6 to release. Henderson himself admitted, though: \u201cI\u2019m not known for GTA 6 news, so take all this information with a grain of salt.\u201d<\/p>\n
It seems like that was a good grain of salt to take though as more insider leaks have pointed to there not being a release for a few years yet and it is seemingly more and more likely that the GTA 5 remaster will be it for the next four years at least.<\/p>\n
Where will GTA 6 map be set?<\/h2>\n
This is an interesting one as there are various locations being suggested, and the word is that the game will span countries for the first time with some of the game taking place in Brazil.<\/p>\n
Back in its American setting, the main location is said to be a modern-day Vice City, while Liberty City is set to feature but only in a mission or two and not as an open-world location. That\u2019s all rumour, though, but we\u2019ll be sure to share any firm GTA 6 map news that appears!<\/p>\n
