We don\u2019t have long to go now until Hawkeye<\/a> lands on Disney Plus, with Jeremy Renner reprising the role of Clint Barton for a six-parter that promises to be full of action, archery and, rather surprisingly but perhaps refreshingly for Marvel, festive fun.<\/p>\n Renner\u2019s Avenger will take on aspiring vigilante Kate Bishop, played by Dickinson\u2019s Hailee Steinfeld, as his protegee in the latest of Marvel\u2019s Disney Plus outings. But the pair won\u2019t have an easy ride of it, with Hawkeye\u2019s past coming back to haunt him.<\/p>\n The trailer already teased the series would delve into Clint\u2019s dark past as Ronin, the name he adopted while taking out gangs in Avengers: Endgame<\/a> after his family vanished following Thanos\u2019s snap. And now, Renner himself has revealed Ronin was something that \u201chad to be addressed at some point\u201d.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Renner said: \u201cThat was always something very, very important I think we had to address at some point. And I\u2019m glad we were able to kind of tie it into this story.\u201d<\/p> The actor said he couldn\u2019t talk \u201ctoo much about it\u201d, suggesting his past as Ronin could be even more important than we\u2019ve been led to believe so far.<\/p>\n Before Scarlett Johansson\u2019s Natasha Romanoff comes along to offer hope for his family\u2019s return in Avengers: Endgame, Ronin is seen taking out an entire Yakuza contingent.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I wore this suit, I made a whole lot of enemies,\u201d Clint earnestly explains in the trailer.<\/p>\n But some fans have speculated that these enemies could be based much closer to home, with many speculating that Daredevil star Vincent D\u2019Onofrio\u2019s Wilson Fisk could appear in the series \u2013 making him the first character of Marvel\u2019s Netflix series to make the move to Disney Plus.<\/p>\n Hawkeye episodes one and two stream on Disney Plus from Wednesday 24th November, with new episodes weekly afterwards.
