It seems bustin\u2019 still makes us feel good, with Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/a> topping the box office chart when it was released to cinemas earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Naturally, fans are already speculating as to whether this is the end of the road for Ecto-1 or if there could be more Ghostbusters sequels on the horizon.<\/p>\n

Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> to promote new Ghostbusters documentary Cleanin\u2019 Up The Town<\/a>, Ernie Hudson \u2013 who played Winston Zeddemore in the first two films and returns in Afterlife \u2013 suggested that there is a \u201cgood possibility\u201d that any future film would again involve his character.<\/p>\n

The Ghostbusters: Afterlife end credits<\/a> scene certainly hints at further appearances, with Winston revealed to have amassed a great fortune which he uses to maintain the Ghostbusters\u2019 old HQ \u2013 could Hudson\u2019s character serve as mentor to a new generation?<\/p>

\u201cWhen you see the scene after the credits run, I think there\u2019s possibilities that Winston will be involved in what comes next,\u201d the actor said. \u201cI mean, who knows what happens after but certainly he\u2019s positioned to be involved in Ghostbusters \u2013 and when you see the last scene, definitely he announces he\u2019ll always be a Ghostbuster.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI hope there\u2019ll be more instalments and <\/span>I hope he is involved \u2013 and like I said, I think the way Jason [Reitman, director] has set it up, it\u2019s a good possibility that if there is more to come, Winston will be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ghostbusters: Afterlife follows the daughter and grandchildren of Ramis\u2019s character Egon as they uncover the Ghostbusters legacy and later reunite with the original team.<\/p>\n

If no sequel materialises, the film at least delivers a happy ending for Winston, who\u2019s also revealed to now be a family man \u2013 and it\u2019s a fate that Hudson is more than satisfied with.<\/p>\n

\u201cJason was six years old when we made the first movie and he was in the second movie and I\u2019ve run into him from time to time,\u201d he said of Afterlife\u2019s director, who is also the son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe went off and really established himself as an amazing director, but because I knew him as a kid, he always seemed like family. And so when he called me about this, Afterlife, I wasn\u2019t quite sure how he was going to [include Winston] and certainly I didn\u2019t expect it, but I just think it has says a lot about who he is, the kind of guy he is.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
