And so it ends! After six action-packed episodes we\u2019ve finally reached the conclusion of Doctor Who<\/a>: Flux, the universe has been saved (again) and the Doctor has some ominous new warnings to chew on as we head into Jodie Whittaker\u2019s final year in the role.<\/p>\n

In this week\u2019s Radio Times<\/strong> Doctor Who podcast<\/strong> we give our review of The Vanquishers, unpick the Doctor\u2019s uneasy status on mass murder (this time, it was fine! Don\u2019t worry about it) and try and predict what\u2019s coming up in the 2022 specials.<\/p>\n

Alongside our Flux finale review, we had a spoiler-filled chat with Karvanista actor Craige Els, the unexpected star of The Vanquishers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs soon as I chatted with Chris [Chibnall] and found out what the character was all about, and who he was, and what his purpose was, I just thought: \u2018What a fantastic idea. What a genius idea.’\u201d Els told us.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if it ever has been done before. I don\u2019t think it has. But the idea of the ultimate version of Man\u2019s Best Friend is such a brilliant idea, that, yeah, I couldn\u2019t wait to play him.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI think like most people, I would jump at the chance to come back, and be a part of the show again. A friend of mine said when I first got the job \u2013 he was saying, \u2018Wow, that\u2019s amazing. It\u2019s like getting to play for your country, isn\u2019t it?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it is. You know, being in Doctor Who, it\u2019s like being handed an England shirt. \u2018Now\u2019s your time.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cYou do feel a sort of honour and responsibility, all at the same time. But what a privilege, and what a joy to pay someone like Karvanista. I would absolutely come back and play him again.\u201d<\/p>\n
