<\/p>
Emmerdale\u2019s Danny Miller<\/a> has spoken about his character Aaron Dingle\u2019s decision to leave the village, saying that he decided to \u201cput himself first\u201d for once.<\/p>\n Speaking about his exit from Emmerdale<\/a> after almost 15 years with the ITV soap, Miller said that that his final scene as Aaron was an \u201cemotional\u201d one for the character following the murder of his boyfriend Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon).<\/p>\n \u201cThe viewers will have seen Aaron finally put himself first [and] will have seen Aaron drive out the village and hear that lovely song that was a touching tribute to Aaron and Ben \u2013 Take on Me \u2013 a real sign that Ben is watching over him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe emotional scene is that he\u2019s finally decided to put himself first for pretty much the first time in his life. He was very close to turning the anger on himself again and he really didn\u2019t want to go back that way.<\/p>\n \u201cSo he finally decides that he\u2019s going to have a fresh break, get out there, see the world again and go meet Adam [Barton] in France and get a bit of normality in his life.\u201d<\/p>\n Miller, who is currently taking part in this year\u2019s series of I\u2019m A Celebrity<\/a>, added that he found filming his final scenes with Isobel Steele, who plays Aaron\u2019s half-sister Liv Flaherty, really difficult.<\/p> \u201cI\u2019ve never had to play a scene where my emotions were really there. I knew that was my final goodbye to Izzy for however long,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was really hard to play in terms of the emotions there and Danny, as well as Aaron, wanted to break down but he just had to hold it together because he needed to be strong until he got out of the room.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was emotional moment for him to not to be able to look her in the eye and say, \u2018I\u2019m going to look after myself.\u2019 He can\u2019t do it anymore and she can\u2019t categorically say she didn\u2019t kill [Ben].\u201d<\/p>\n As for whether Miller may return to Emmerdale in the future, he said that it\u2019s nice to know that the door has been \u201cleft open\u201d for him.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cYou never know in three years\u2019 time I might have five kids and be skint!\u201d<\/p>\n By Lauren Morris Published: Monday, 06 December 2021 at 12:00 am Emmerdale\u2019s Danny Miller has spoken about his character Aaron Dingle\u2019s decision to leave the village, saying that he decided to \u201cput himself first\u201d for once.
