The Man of Steel is finally back on our screens.<\/p>\n

As part of the Arrowverse<\/a> universe, Superman & Lois<\/a> is a new take on the story of Clark Kent and his true love, Lois Lane.<\/p>\n

Starring Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois, the series focuses on what comes next for the pair after their marriage and having two teenage sons together.<\/p>\n

Heading back to Clark\u2019s hometown of Smallville, the series remains grounded even with big storylines.<\/p>\n

Be sure to read our review of the first season as it heads to UK screens<\/a>, whilst RadioTimes.com has also pondered the meaning behind Superman & Lois\u2019 timeslot in the BBC One schedules.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the meantime, as the first run is now available to watch in its entirety on BBC iPlayer, many will be wondering how far away the new episodes are.<\/p>\n

So, without further ado, here is all you need to know about Superman & Lois season 2.<\/p>

Superman & Lois season 2 release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Superman & Lois season 2 premieres in the US on The CW on January 11, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A UK release date has yet to be confirmed but we shall be sure to update this when it arrives.<\/p>\n

As the first season was only just released in its entirety in the UK on BBC iPlayer and airing weekly on BBC One, we imagine it will be quite the wait until the second run finds its way to UK shores.<\/p>\n

Superman & Lois season 2 cast<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Superman and Lois will return with the lead duo and their on-screen sons<\/span><\/figcaption><\/div>\n

As one might expect, Tyler Hoechlin<\/strong> will reprise his role as Superman\/Kal-El\/Clark Kent and will be joined by Elizabeth Tulloch<\/strong> as Lois Lane.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Jordan Elsass<\/strong> will reprise his role as Superman and Lois\u2019 son Jonathan Kent, with Alex Garfin<\/strong> back as his super-powered brother Jordan Kent.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Emmanuelle Chriqui<\/strong> will be back in the role of Clark\u2019s good friend Lana Lang-Cushing, with Erik Valdez<\/strong> back as her husband Kyle Cushing and Inde Navarrette<\/strong> as her wild older daughter Sarah Cushing.<\/p>\n

Dylan Walsh<\/strong> can also be expected back as Lois\u2019 father, General Sam Lane.<\/p>\n

We can also expect returns for Wole Parks<\/strong> as the heroic The Stranger\/John Henry Irons and Adam Rayner<\/strong> as the villainous Morgan Edge\/Tal-Rho\/Eradicator.<\/p>\n

Sofia Hasmik<\/strong> has been promoted to the main cast in her role as journalist Chrissy Beppo.<\/p>\n

New additions this season include Ian Bohen<\/strong> in the antagonistic role of Lieutenant Mitch Anderson who wants to bring Superman under his remit, plus Jenna Dewan<\/strong> returns after her appearance in Supergirl as Lois\u2019 younger sister, Lucy Lane.<\/p>\n

Finally, Irons\u2019 daughter Natalie has been promoted to the main cast for the second season after arriving in Smallville in the season one finale.<\/p>\n

In the comics, Natalie aka Natasha Irons is one of the multiple heroes to use the codename Steel like her father \u2013 who in the comics is her uncle.<\/p>\n
