<\/p>
Shalom Brune-Franklin has revealed she\u2019d like to return for a seventh series of Line of Duty<\/a> \u2013 although she confessed she has \u201cno idea\u201d if another run of Jed Mercurio\u2019s hit police drama is on the cards.<\/p>\n The Our Girl star joined the cast for series six as DC Chlo\u00eb Bishop, the newest member of AC-12, and won lots of praise for her performance throughout the run.<\/p>\n There has been much talk about whether a seventh series will materialise, after the sixth run tied up the central mystery as to the identity of the fourth man \u2013 with Mercurio having so far been coy about the possibility of a return.<\/p>\n And speaking on this week\u2019s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, Brune-Franklin was asked what she thought about the likelihood of another series.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019m important enough to know the answers to those questions,\u201d was her response. \u201cThat\u2019s what I practised to say if asked this. I have no idea. I don\u2019t know \u2013 I really am not important enough to know the answer. Obviously, yeah [I would want to do it].\u201d<\/p> Speaking about joining the likes of Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar in such a well-established cast, Brune-Franklin added that it felt like she \u201cwas joining high school a term late or something\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI was such a fan of the show before,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was like I\u2019d stepped into my TV screen. Half of me was thinking, \u2018OK, you\u2019ve been hired to do a job, focus, get it done\u2019, the other half was internally screaming at anything I saw\u2026 Adrian Dunbar\u2019s face\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI was trying hard not to embarrass myself, call Vicky her real name and not Kate.\u201d<\/p>\n And speaking about the ending \u2013 which rather divided opinion amongst fans and critics \u2013 she continued: \u201cI loved it. I get so scared to talk about Line of Duty even though it\u2019s finished and done. I still feel like I\u2019m going to give something away. You have to keep the secrets for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n Brune-Franklin will next be seen on our screens alongside Jamie Dornan in BBC One thriller The Tourist<\/a> \u2013 which airs its first episode on New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n The Jonathan Ross Show airs at 10.05pm on Saturday 11th December on ITV.<\/strong><\/p>\n Line of Duty is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
