Netflix has cancelled its anime adaptation Cowboy Bebop<\/a>, and the cast and creatives have expressed their disappointment that the \u201ccool s**t\u201d they had planned for a second season won\u2019t come to fruition.<\/p>\n The space Western was released in November and followed a group of bounty hunters, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir) and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda), alongside the super-smart \u201cData Dog\u201d Ein.<\/p>\n Reviews for the live-action series were mixed, however, with\u00a0our Cowboy Bebop review describing the show as a \u201cpale imitation\u201d<\/a> of its source material.<\/p>\n In response to the show\u2019s cancellation (first announced by The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>), co-executive producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach expressed his sadness that there wouldn\u2019t be a season two.<\/p>\n \u201cI truly loved working on this,\u201d Grillo-Marxuach wrote on Twitter<\/a>. \u201cIt came from a real and pure place of respect and affection.
