Still, despite the cameo\u2019s importance episode directors Bert and Bertie (real names Amber Templemore-Finlayson and Katie Ellwood) didn\u2019t find it too much of a hardship keeping Pugh\u2019s appearance under wraps.<\/p>\n
\u201cAh, it\u2019s part of the job. I mean, that\u2019s part of the fun, isn\u2019t it?\u201d Bert told RadioTimes.com<\/a>. <\/strong>\u201cIt\u2019s playground stuff. That\u2019s like, \u2018I know, it\u2019s secret.\u2019 And you do it such a long time ago.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love keeping little secrets like that, because I think the fans really like the reveals when they do see them. And then they get to experience it new and as a surprise, so it\u2019s always more fun.\u201d<\/p>\n But it seems like Pugh might not be the only familiar face coming back, with the directors hinting that some other well-known actors could be turning up in the final two episodes of the season.<\/p> \u201cI think we have the easy job. It\u2019s the poor actors who just can\u2019t say a word about it,\u201d Bert told us.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel for them, because some people that we knew couldn\u2019t tell anyone they were even in a Marvel thing.\u201d<\/p>\n So are even more familiar Marvel faces set to arrive in the coming episodes? When we asked directly, Bert and Bertie played it coy.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t remember. B, can you remember?\u201d Bert laughed.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s fuzzy, but I think if you just keep watching, guess what, you\u2019re going to find out,\u201d Bertie said.<\/p>\n \u201cFans wouldn\u2019t be able to come up with all their theories about who was going to be in it if it weren\u2019t for us all keeping tight lips. So that\u2019s part of the entertainment with Marvel.\u201d<\/p>\n The nod to \u201ctheories\u201d adds more credence to the longstanding rumour that the mysterious \u201cbig man\u201d mentioned as a crime boss in Hawkeye will be revealed as Daredevil villain Kingpin, as played by Vincent D\u2019Onofrio. Last seen in the Netflix Daredevil series, fans have had theories for some time that he could make his debut in the \u201cproper\u201d Marvel Cinematic Universe \u2013 so perhaps D\u2019Onofrio is one of the suffering actors forced to keep his Hawkeye role under wraps.<\/p>\n Though even if Mr Fisk doesn\u2019t turn up, it sounds like fans will still be in for a treat with the final episodes of Hawkeye.<\/p>\n \u201cNot only have you got bigger things to look forward to, but also just like emotional things as well, which I think is very important,\u201d Bert told us.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, emotional scale is really important to this show,\u201d agreed Bertie.<\/p>\n \u201cIt can just be a conversation between two people and it feels as big as any action sequence you know, which is what we\u2019re finding with the Hawkeyes as well. So emotion and action you\u2019ll have coming up.\u201d<\/p>\n We think they might be right \u2013 if nothing else, we certainly know a few online fans who might get pretty emotional if their theories turn out to be right.<\/p>\n Hawkeye releases new episodes on Disney Plus on Wednesdays.
