AJ Odudu was paid the ultimate compliment following her second dance on tonight\u2019s Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> \u2013 with Shirley Ballas bowing down to her after her Rumba.<\/p>\n

The gesture is especially noteworthy given that the head judge is herself known as the \u2018Queen of Rumba\u2019, so to receive such positive feedback is high praise indeed.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan I say AJ, you definitely know how to pull it together in a semi-final, let me tell you,\u201d Shirley said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved the sensuality of knowing where the female zones are on the body and the little bit of the shoulder, all those little nuances are just up my alley.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cBut let me tell you: I have complained throughout the series about non-tracking of legs and feet and you proved me wrong today. You tracked, they brushed feather-like, one foot passed the other, the knees \u2013 everything was in a straight line.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just found it captivating, a moment in time \u2013 just beautiful!\u201d<\/p>

Asked by Claudia Winkleman how she found the Rumba, AJ revealed, \u201cI honestly found it, obviously challenging, but I loved dancing that dance.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThinking back to when I just started I only had the Macarena up my sleeve and you know over the last twelve weeks I\u2019ve been learning to dance with Kai \u2013 so special, so devoted, and I just can\u2019t believe I\u2019m pulling off performances like that in the semi-final, I\u2019m just so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the incredible feedback, AJ didn\u2019t quite\u00a0<\/em>manage to pull off her second 40 of the night, scoring 39 points to give her a total of 79 for her two performances.<\/p>\n
