<\/p>
The long-awaited second season of The Witcher<\/a> hasn\u2019t even been released yet \u2013 but the cast are already teasing season three, which was confirmed back in September.<\/p>\n Freya Allan, who plays Ciri on the hit Netflix<\/a> fantasy series, revealed in an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a> that she has already seen the scripts for the third run \u2013 and thinks it\u2019s going to be \u201ca great season\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI might have actually seen some scripts, you know?\u201d she revealed.\u00a0\u201cJust putting it out there. I don\u2019t know exactly [when it\u2019ll be], but it will be not too long away.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very exciting,\u201d she added. \u201cI think it\u2019s going to be a great season.\u201d<\/p>\n While Allan might have had a sneak peek at what lies in store, fellow cast member Joey Batey hasn\u2019t been so lucky just yet \u2013 although the Jaskier actor did say that showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich had been in touch regarding the direction of the next series.<\/p>\n \u201cI have not seen the scripts, and lord knows when we\u2019re going to be filming,\u201d he explained. \u201cBecause, as you can probably tell over the last couple of days alone, the world is changing pretty quickly. We\u2019re hopefully shooting in the new year. And, yeah, I\u2019ve not seen any of the scripts yet.<\/p>\n \u201cLauren\u2019s been chatting to the cast and crew and creatives over the past couple of months, and shaping these scripts, and kicking them all into gear, and getting everyone\u2019s input and feedback,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s so open to collaboration that it means that we\u2019re able to come with ideas and offerings, and that\u2019s one of the most enjoyable parts of working with her. She is egoless, and is so able to go, \u2018That\u2019s a really good idea,\u2019 or \u2018That\u2019s a terrible idea, Joey.\u2019 And there aren\u2019t any wrong answers.\u201d<\/p> As for where their characters could go in future seasons, Allan said it was \u201cvery hard to say\u201d what direction Ciri\u2019s story might taken.<\/p>\n \u201cYou sort of discover that as you go along, really,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s something that you can\u2019t necessarily say what you want. You\u2019re discovering it as you play it, and just using the script in whatever way you do.<\/p>\n \u201cBut I would say I definitely, obviously want to see her become an insane fighter,\u201d she added. \u201cThat\u2019s for sure. I can\u2019t wait for her to get her proper sword.
