Because, you know, it wasn\u2019t just that there was a hiatus; it was the nature of the hiatus.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cWe\u2019d wrapped filming just before the first lockdown,\u201d she added. \u201cSo everybody\u2019s lived through really difficult times. There were lots of challenges and sadnesses and difficulties. I think like everybody in the world, really, we\u2019ve all come back slightly bruised and conscious of the blessings that we have, and are more sympathetic to each other\u2019s sorrows, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">She continued: \u201cI think we all lost a layer of skin, you know, as has the world. It\u2019s made us all slightly more grateful for our lives, I think, and slightly more attentive to each other\u2019s lives. And I think that\u2019s no bad thing. In amongst a lot of bad things, that\u2019s no bad thing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cSo, yeah, it was moving in a way that it wouldn\u2019t have been, had we just had a big gap, and we\u2019d all come back and gone, \u2018Oh, I haven\u2019t seen you for ages. How are you?\u2019<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cIt was properly, \u2018I haven\u2019t seen you for ages. How are you? How are you?\u2019 It was a different sort of coming together.\u201d<\/p> <p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">Speaking about filming during the pandemic, she added that she felt \u201cenormously grateful\u201d in part because she has so many colleagues who work in live arts who \u201chave had the most hellish nearly-two years now\u201d.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cThat\u2019s been going since April. So that\u2019s been long. And <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/fantasy\/the-witcher-season-2-release-date\/&quot;\">The Witcher<\/a>, I was doing that just prior to that.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cSo I just feel enormously grateful to know that there are COVID protocols in place that mean I can keep working, and that I get tested regularly, so I know how well I am. So that was really lovely,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cAnd also to be doing something that\u2019s different genres. And they\u2019re both shows that have got big, ambitious broad strokes to the way that they\u2019re conceived, and the way that they\u2019re worked out.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"&quot;auto&quot;\">\u201cThey\u2019ve got quite a humane centre to them, even with monsters.
