Channel 4 is releasing a brand new festive animated film, Terry Pratchett\u2019s The Abominable Snow Baby, about a quiet English town thrown into chaos when the titular Snow Baby is discovered amid a flurry of snow.<\/p>\n

The creature is welcomed by Granny (voiced by Julie Walters) who along with grandson Albert (voiced by Hugh Dancy) decides to adopt the 14-foot tall Snow Baby as her pet.<\/p>\n

The Abominable Snow Baby star Julie Walters chats to Jane Garvey in the Radio Times podcast \u2013 listen now<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>Earlier this month, RadioTimes.com<\/a> had an exclusive first look at the trailer<\/a>\u00a0for the special, with the hand-drawn animation\u00a0based on a short story from Pratchett\u2019s bestselling book of Christmas tales, Father Christmas\u2019 Fake Beard.<\/p>\n
The festive film will form part of Channel 4\u2019s Christmas Day schedule<\/a>, along with a Great British Bake Off Christmas special<\/a> featuring the cast of It\u2019s A Sin, and re-runs of Christmas classics like The Snowman.<\/p>\n
