Following the first task, which saw The Apprentice 2022 cast<\/a> having to brand and create an advertisement for a cruise ship \u2013 Harry Mahmood<\/a> was given the finger as Lord Alan Sugar declared: \u201cYou\u2019re fired!\u201d<\/p>\n The general consensus was that Harry had been \u201cdisruptive\u201d during the challenge. However, he claims Lord Sugar\u2019s advisor, Baroness Karren Brady, actually defended in a scene which was never aired.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Harry said: \u201cAkeem kept saying, \u2018Harry\u2019s been disruptive,\u2019 and Karren herself said in the boardroom, which hasn\u2019t been aired, quote, \u2018No, Akeem, that\u2019s not strictly true. Harry was slightly annoying, but not disruptive!’\u201d<\/p>\n In tonight\u2019s episode, Tim Campbell<\/a>, who is filling in for Claude Littner on the series, pointed out that most of the candidates had called Harry \u201cdisruptive\u201d \u2013 something the bath bomb business manager wasn\u2019t happy about.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cFor Tim to turn around and say, \u2018You\u2019re being disruptive!\u2019 Tim, you weren\u2019t even there, mate.\u201d<\/p>\n Harry therefore feels he was \u201chard done by\u201d on the show, and believes Akshay Thakrar<\/a> and Akeem Bundu-Kamara<\/a> should have taken more accountability for their failure in the first task.<\/p>\n As project manager, Akshay had a huge part to play in the decision making, and Akeem was the person who signed off on the \u201cturd\u201d logo, which cost them the challenge.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been confident, I\u2019ve been creative, I\u2019ve been fun, kind, polite, courteous and kind to my fellow colleagues. And I\u2019ve just been a scapegoat, really, for Akshay and Akeem for failing the task,\u201d Harry continued.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just really frustrating, because I\u2019m not being biased, but if I was Akeem and I messed up, I would have said, \u2018Lord Sugar,\u00a0 I signed off the logo. I messed up massively. But you know what, I\u2019ll do better next time.\u2019 But he didn\u2019t do that!\u201d<\/p>\n From the beginning of the task, Harry admitted he didn\u2019t like the logo, which Nick Showering came up with. However, the others didn\u2019t think the design he\u2019d drawn was strong enough, so Akeem went with Nick\u2019s choice. Harry then brought up the poor design at several stages, which the others found unsupportive.<\/p>\n So, does he wish he handled things differently?<\/p>\n \u201cNo, not really,\u201d he said, going on to explain the reasoning behind his behaviour. \u201cI\u2019m very experienced and well-versed in making decisions and seeing success ahead of me. So, if I know that something is going to fail massively and miserably, I\u2019m thinking of the boardroom and Lord Sugar saying the logo is crap. It\u2019s not good; I knew this, hence why I was vocal about it.\u201d<\/p> Despite being the first out of the competition (and missing out on Lord Sugar\u2019s \u00a3250,000 investment as a result) Harry has no regrets, admitting he\u2019s actually \u201cgood friends\u201d with the rest of the cast.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can\u2019t dwell,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m proud of the fact that God Almighty has blessed me the opportunity to work with the BBC, The Apprentice, Lord Sugar and I\u2019ve been honoured to take part. It\u2019s a huge privilege and an honour to be part of a huge, huge programme. Genuinely, hand on my heart, I am honoured to be in the process, even though it\u2019s been very short-lived.
