<\/p>
Tanya Moodie has issued an update on the fourth season of hit sitcom Motherland<\/a> \u2013 revealing that the next run is currently \u201cin the ether\u201d.<\/p>\n In an exclusive interview, Moodie \u2013 who plays Meg on the series \u2013 told RadioTimes.com<\/a>: \u201cWell, we\u2019re trying to figure out if there\u2019s any more Motherland. That\u2019s sort of in the ether. But we don\u2019t know how or when.\u201d<\/p>\n The third season of the show concluded last June to more rave reviews, but a further run has not been confirmed by the BBC and we are still awaiting official updates.<\/p>\n Moodie is about to start filming a role in Sam Mendes\u2019 new film The Empire of the Light \u2013 a love story which stars Olivia Colman and Colin Firth \u2013 but before that, viewers can see her in the current series of A Discovery of Witches<\/a>, which filmed in the height of the pandemic.<\/p>\n Speaking about the process of pandemic production, Moodie explained: \u201cI think this year in particular, if I want to single out this year, I think having to work under the circumstances of the pandemic \u2013 what I really appreciated was how all of us worked very, very hard to keep everyone safe. And so we sort of got into this rhythm of how to be in a bubble.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the way we sort of revealed ourselves through that, it deepens my admiration for everybody. It just really makes your heart kind of swell, how hard everyone was working to tell the story, get it filmed, and keep everyone safe.\u201d<\/p> She added: \u201cI\u2019ll tell you what \u2013 you didn\u2019t half want to hug everyone when you saw them. You\u2019re really like, \u2018I just want to give you a hug.\u2019 We were all going through this thing.
