And if they did go for the binge option \u2013 which, to be honest, was probably most people \u2013 series star Tanya Moodie reckons that they\u2019ll already be hungry for more, possibly in the form of various spin-offs based on secondary characters beyond main couple Matthew and Diana (Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer).<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ll feel satisfied, and they\u2019ll feel hungry,\u201d Moodie told RadioTimes.com<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019ll want more.<\/p>\n \u201cI think [original book author] Deborah Harkness is going to be asked a lot for another series. Thankfully, I think that if Bad Wolf decides to do anymore, they\u2019ll have an audience.\u201d<\/p>\n Since completing the three-book All Souls trilogy that A Discovery of Witches is based on, Harkness has shown a willingness to return to the world, penning a prequel starring characters Matthew and Marcus (Matthew Goode and Edward Bluemel) and making plans for a book about Steven Cree\u2019s vampire Gallowglass<\/a>.<\/p> It\u2019s possible that new TV shows could be developed by producers Bad Wolf Studios from this source material \u2013 though Moodie also notes that material cut from the original trilogy\u2019s adaptation could also be used to kickstart another series.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople who know the books, know that there are characters that have other lives and other futures,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cMy hope is that there\u2019ll be other stories made on television based on the characters and Deborah\u2019s writing. Wouldn\u2019t that be wonderful?\u201d<\/p>\n And of course, Moodie has a particular soft spot for the daemons featured in the series (including her character Agatha Wilson), noting that their relatively unexplored role in Creature society could be ripe for more stories.<\/p>\n \u201cI would love that,\u201d she said. \u201cI think that the daemons should have their own series, because\u2026 I mean, I find them really interesting, because we\u2019ve all seen vampire series \u2013 it\u2019s obviously a thing. We\u2019ve all seen witches series as well.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the thing about daemons is \u2013 because they sort of straddle these worlds of huge humanity, as well as being different and \u2018other\u2019, I think it makes them quite interesting.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, I always joke around how the fandom of the book \u2013 they talk to me, and say, \u2018So what do daemons do, exactly?\u2019 The ones who haven\u2019t necessarily read the books but have seen the series. And so I\u2019m having to sort of explain to them that they do also have sort of \u2018powers,\u2019 in inverted commas, but they actually find it more difficult to control.\u201d<\/p>\n In other words, there\u2019s plenty to draw from if Harkness or Bad Wolf are looking to continue telling stories in the world of vampires, witches and mysterious daemons.
