Ricky Gervais joins The Radio Times Podcast<\/a> to discuss season 3 of his Netflix<\/a> comedy-drama After Life<\/a> (available 14^{th<\/sup>\u00a0January). The series follows Tony, a journalist at a local paper, whose life is turned upside down after his wife Lisa dies. It\u2019s a searingly eloquent exploration of grief and, in typical Gervais style, is loaded with acerbic comedy and ruthlessly entertaining social commentary.<\/p>\n}

Jane Garvey talks to Gervais about loneliness, exploring grief through the medium of comedy and presenting fiction \u201cthat represents the real world\u201d. Gervais discusses his approach to Twitter trolls and responds to Pope Francis\u2019 claim that choosing pets over babies is \u201cselfish\u201d \u2013 Gervais comments: \u201cThere\u2019s not a big line of unborn foetuses going, \u2018We want to be born!\u2019 I don\u2019t have kids for many reasons, but no one is going \u2018Gervais isn\u2019t having kids!
