Natalie Pithers, the family historian who organised the History For Ukraine event at the end of March

History For Ukraine, a volunteer-run event to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, has raised £52,898 plus Gift Aid of £5,897. It was organised by family historian Natalie Pithers and took place on 26–27 March. It consisted of a 24-hour livestream on YouTube and Twitter of talks by 52 historians. Viewers were encouraged to donate to the appeal. Railway History For Ukraine, a satellite event, followed on 30 March.
