Family history website Findmypast is making its entire site free to access to mark the Remembrance weekend.
The offer runs from 10am GMT on 9 November to 10am GMT on 13 November and requires users to register on the site.
Findmypast holds billions of family history records and subscriptions normally run from £10.99 a month to £199.99 a year, depending on the subscription tier.
The free access includes Findmypast’s collection of over 70 million old newspaper pages from the British Newspaper Archive, as well as the 1939 Register, military records, hospital records, migration records, other records and users’ public family trees, but does not include the 1921 census.
Family historians can share their discoveries on social media with the hashtag #RememberThemAll.
