FamilySearch has announced that RootsTech, the world’s largest family history show, will be both in person and online in 2023.
Few details of RootsTech 2023 have been revealed, but the family history website, which runs RootsTech, said it will take place from 2-4 March 2023, with online events and in person events in Salt Lake City, Utah.
RootsTech took place in Salt Lake City from 2011 to 2020.
In 2021 and 2022, in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it was replaced with RootsTech Connect, a free global virtual event. Over three million people took part in RootsTech Connect 2022.
Jen Allen, RootsTech’s event director, said: “We feel compelled to keep learning and evolving. We are constantly seeking new ideas to help expand reach outside the industry and create engaging and educational experiences for RootsTech attendees.”
Allen said that online access to RootsTech will remain free and available to everyone in the world.
The in person event will have a cost and will feature exclusive classes with enhanced features like live Q&As or in-depth workshops and case studies.
